Our tiny town of Pittsfeld, Vermont was a wedding mecca the weekend of September 28th. For Kelly and Luke their choice was an Amee Farm wedding with lots of personal and DIY touches. One of my favorite images from the day is the bride’s visit to the on site Sweet Georgia P’s CSA goats. The end of day light is magical and the moment sweet as she coaxes the friendly animals toward her with her wedding bouquet. Someone once told me a wedding that includes pets is destined for success, they symbolize a loving nature in the couple. I believe you could say the same for these friendly farm visitors.
In keeping with the agrarian theme, place cards were designed from seed cards, and the wedding cake was covered in ferns and birch bark. After a wedding ceremony at the private waterfall behind the Amee Farm Lodge, guests were welcomed into our Amee Farm barn by Vermont Bluegrass band “Something with Strings.”
